Where I live today, we will experience a solar eclipse. We are in the area of totality, so we will see a true total solar eclipse. With hundreds of thousands of people pouring into the state to view the eclipse, it has been discussed . . . a lot.
Amidst all the hype about the eclipse of the sun, the more important issue is the SON who eclipses all things. It is the SON, Jesus, who created the sun, moon, the earth and the path of their orbits. (Genesis 1:16) As we view the eclipse, we will see a majestic part of His creation, but even this is just one small piece of His creation.
Today I plan to watch the moon overtake the sun for a couple of minutes. I want it to remind me that during creation, God spoke into existence the sun and the moon and the stars. I want to remember God’s power that holds the universe in His hand, yet still cares for me and you.
In the moments of the eclipse today, we won’t see heavenly bodies that are the result of a big bang.
We will see the work of THE CREATOR.

This was an amazing day in Arkansas.
The focus was on our Creator. He made the eclipse happen.
It was very special to see the handiwork of God.
